April Stitch from Stash

Hello All and Happy Spring!?!?! I know the calendar says it's spring but here in PA Spring seems to have gotten lost on the way here! It is still cold and windy. Unfortunately the one part of Spring that has found us is the pollen. The newspapers have been calling it the Perfect Storm of Pollen and I believe it. It's getting tiresome but between the pollen and the cold who want s to be outside? At least if gives me time to stitch!

Here is my April report.  I spent:

April: $4.00 - (Primitive Hare pattern) contest
$6.00 - (pattern on ebay "Home is Where you hang your cross stitch)
$4.40 - Crescent Colors caterpillar (2) to finish Needleworker
.88 - DMC floss to finish Happiness
$7.00 - 2 Bargen Patterns on Stash Unload (Santaberry Puddingby Shephards Bush and,
                        Halloween Fun by Poppy Kreations.
Total Spent: $22.28

Not too bad although maybe I can do better next month!

I didn't work on Shores this month as I was loosing my mojo so I started Needleworker by Little House Needleworks. I bought the pattern and threads last summer while on vacation and I just got a basket I want to hang it on so I started.

The fabric is 16 count Aida which I tea and coffee dyed using Vonna's tutorial. This seems to be my go to fabric lately. Please pardon the wrinkles but I wanted to get this post in. At least you can see the color variations in the fabric although it is darker than it is showing here.

I hope you are all enjoying your stitching and this wonderful challenge!! Thank you so very much Mel!! You are the best and I am sure we all appreciate all that you do!!

Until next time,
Hugs,
Rose

  4. Starting a new project often brings your stitching motivation back. A nice project that you chose, and I love the tea and coffee dyed fabric you stitch it on.
And you had another successful month in this challenge which is so inspiring. Congratulations.

  5. I love the Needleworker, I finally got mine into a frame and hanging. I love you coffee/tea stained fabric, I haven't been brave enough to try that yet.

  7. You did really well this month in keeping all your purchases under budget. I too included my Primitive Hare chart but with the exchange difference my pattern cost a couple of dollars more here in Canada.
