Welcome back to the Christmas City Stitcher! 2018 is almost 2 months gone and I decided to try to use this blog yo keep track of my stitching life. Hope anyone still reading it is interested.

In January I started a SAL on the Little House Needleworks Facebook page. I'm hoping to finish the Hometown Holiday Series. I started it a couple of years ago and got 2 out of 15 done lol.

So here is January. I got off to a great start.

I also knitted 3 count them 3 washclothes this week! First knitting I've done in years!

I've also been working on Quaker Chirstmas (Pictures next month) I had finished 1 1/2 pages and realized I was holding the fabric in the wrong direction so I have started over and have just started page 2 yet again.

Well I'm off to do some stitching on this lazy Saturday afternoon.

Starting Over 2017 Style

Well I'm not sure if there is still anyone out there but I'm starting over again!

I know I said that in April of 201 but on one could have predicted the ride we were about to take. I had a gout attack right after I wrote that and Andy tried to sell the camper without my "hair on the back of my neck". Well he sold it  but the woman gave him a Deposit and then the check bounced! Let just say we are out about $10,000! We got a judgement against her but fat chance of ever seeing that money again. I am glad that we sold it though as the next year and a half I would have had no time to go.

Daughter number 2 started feeling sick in May and in July was diagnosed with a very large oral cancer tumor. We were sent immediately to Universitly of Pennsylvania Hospital to one of the best surgeons in the world  (we have since met doctors from all over the world who come to train with him) and on August 4, 2015 our journey began with her surgery. It has been a long ride and if you want to hear it you can read her blog www.clydebegone.blogspot.com.  I will say that she is cancer free, engaged and hoping to get back to work part time the end of January!

I am going to try really hard to keep track of my stitching with this blog as I have done a lot but have no idea what lol. Also with all the time off I have taken from work I need to stitch from my stash and maybe get rid of some patterns I no longer like. More on that later.

Tonight I'll try to finish a small I started yesterday as a last start and last finish to 2016. Hope to post pictures tomorrow (or later tonight)

May 2017 treat us all a little better than 2016 did.

Starting Over

I'm back and trying this blogging thing one more time lol! Life for the last year has been busy to say the least with trying to take care of the house, camper, family, work and a few medical problems. Nothing to serious but all painful and time consuming.

This Spring we are simplifying our lives. Selling the camper, fixing up the house, and slowing down. We are making time to enjoy our family and lives in between working. I'm still stitching and will try to start posting as soon as I can find the camera or figure out how to do lit from my phone!

If you are still out there thank you for your amazing patience. I'll be back soon!

Almost finished with block 5 and shown with my new needle minder and my wonderful new hoop. I have discovered I an returning to hoops more and more and I had read about these hand made Hardwicke Manor Hoops. I had been using a vintage hoop. Ordered this one and just love it! It's even wide enough to hold my pattern clip but it's very lite!

And now for the patterns purchased!

 I have wanted this OOP for a long time but could never find it and when I did the price was usually outrageous! Finally it's mine so I guess I will have to add it to my Christmas rotation lol! Not that I don't have enough to do!

Well I guess that's all for now! time to get ready and head out to a "paint your own picture" ALS fundraiser with my dear friend Bea. It is in honor of her husband Jack. He was truly a one of a kind man who is missed by many!!

Stitch From Stash May Report

Nothing like posting at the last minute (although I did send my report to Mel a week+ ago) but work got in the way. This is the last week of school and my office is crazy busy. After Friday it will still be busy but with the kids gone it will be really quiet.
